Ciara Archer is an up-and-coming PR pro based in the Phoenix area. A 2015 graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism (public relations emphasis) and a minor in Film and Media Production, she has a variety of interests ranging from politics to the performing arts.
Ciara is formerly the Social Media Analyst for Gilbert, Arizona. A member of the diverse “Gilbert Digital”/ communications team that handles all internal, external and digital communications, public relations and marketing initiatives for the Town of Gilbert, she manages Gilbert’s main social media accounts and acts as an analyst/strategist for the additional department accounts – 25+ in total. She is responsible for daily postings, monitoring analytics, copy editing, assisting with general strategy and promotion of Gilbert, AZ.
Prior to this, Ciara was an associate at Axiom Public Affairs, a local politically focused firm that managed and consulted on a variety of Arizona elections and issue campaigns. She had the opportunity to work on two congressional races, develop media strategies for non-profits and corporations, and work with some of the best and the brightest in the state. She also had the chance to help plan and execute Axiom’s Best of the Capitol annual After Party for two years.
In 2016, Ciara represented Arizona at home and abroad as the Arizona Colleen and Rose. The program, for women of Irish decent between the ages of 18-28, promotes self confidence, poise, and well-roundedness and encourages women to take pride in their heritage through service and community involvement. She traveled 60,000 miles in her year to a multitude of events all over the state and world to promote the program and the Arizona Irish community at large. As a part of her dual-title, Ciara participated in the 57th annual Rose of Tralee International Festival in Ireland in August 2016. Here, 65 women from all around the world acted as ambassadors for their respective communities and came together to promote volunteerism, moden-Irish women and collective Irish pride while working to connect the global Irish diaspora.
Ciara was previously a marketing and communications intern at the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, a social media assistant for various Super Bowl XLIX events, and a select participant of the Disney College Program in Anaheim, California.
With family across the globe, Ciara loves to travel and experience the world around her. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee, watching movies, spending time with her 19-year-old brother, reading and listening to old, vinyl records.
